My Minimal Hoarding Life - 2020 Resolution - November Check In

I make four resolutions, or goals, to accomplish each year. Some years I make it with all of them, some years I don`t. Usually two are easy and two are hard.

I make a word, or phrase, of how I plan to be for the year and this year I have chosen "Thrive" because this is the first year of the next half of my life, a new beginning and a new me.

Here are my 2020 resolutions :

1 - Publish A Book

Absolutely not!

I did look at a publishing company but I did not find out anything. I really don`t want to self publish but seems like that its probably the only way at this point.

100% did not work at this goal at all in November.

2 - Make New Friends

Yes I am sure I did make a new friend, she said seems like God sent me to her and that she feels like she can trust me. However, I have heard that line before just as I was stabbed in the back with lies, so I will have to see how this new friendship turns out.

Yes I will say worked on this one 100%

3 - New Job/Career

Am I chasing something that does not need to be chased? That is the question for this moment. I mean ... do I need to change this or is it just a want?

I have always heard " if its not broke don`t fix it," Maybe I am being told by God in a round about way to stop looking for something else and do what you (me) do. With that being said I will let all control go  and say " God, lets do this" and allow him to show me where and what to do.

100% did nothing to change anything.

4 - Take A Vacation

How many times did I say I need a vacation in November? Lots! but no I did not get away but... we did do a few stay-cations. Just being at home and doing absolutely nothing was awesome.

This last week of November was one of those doing nothing weeks, waking whenever, loving whenever and eating whenever.

100% did not but 100% loved life.

There ya go, that shows how life works, sometimes you get good months with plenty of accomplishments toward your years resolutions/goals and sometimes you don`t.

There is 1 month left in this fabulous year of 2020, Let`s see what  life has for me.

October has been a busy month and at one point I took off two weeks from writing and being online.

In one day I did write several chapters on one of the books and another couple of pages for another.

I am moving forward with the publishing because I do have a book ready.

100% working on this as I write this.

2 - Make New Friends

I have met SO many new people but I have to say that I would not be friends with any of those people, we don`t have anything in common at all. However, I think I have a stronger bond with my old and new friends of this year.

50% - 50% for this one.

3 - New Job/Career

I let God lead me and this is one section of life I know he controls all the time because when I want to change, he gives me more of what I already do.

So......

No new career but I am learning new trades, or how do I say this? I am learning how to do more things that makes what I already do for a living easier, maybe that is how to explain my life right now in the job and career area.

50% -50% on this one.

4 - Take A Vacation

Okay, I did take one in July and was the best one EVER!

No I did not go on a vacation in October and the reason was work.

I have planned a couple day trips for November and who knows, I might get a week off to go away and explore.

100% No.

There ya go, that shows how life works, sometimes you get good months with plenty of accomplishments toward your years resolutions/goals and sometimes you don`t.

There are 2 months left in this fabulous year of 2020, Let`s see what  life has for me.

My Minimal Hoarding Life - 2020 Resolution - September Check In

I make four resolutions, or goals, to accomplish each year. Some years I make it with all of them, some years I don`t. Usually two are easy and two are hard.

I make a word, or phrase, of how I plan to be for the year and this year I have chosen "Thrive" because this is the first year of the next half of my life, a new beginning and a new me.

Here are my 2020 resolutions :

1 - Publish A Book

This may seem strange but when I was a toddler my mom spoke over me that I would be a famous author because I ate books and... well, any paper, even my brothers homework.

Then back in the Spring Robert introduced me and when asked what I did for a living he said "She writes books and will publish four this year."

Little did I know when I wrote these resolutions that someone would find me and speak these words over me, that would be Robert, and it be a resolution I made months before we met.

Yes its destiny and sometimes that is just freaky all by itself.

This month I worked on three books, however, two may become one as I am integrating the characters from one to the other, because life changed and that is how i will be.

Anyways.....

Working on this one 100%

2 - Make New Friends

I made myself laugh when I read last months response to this resolution.

I have to think back....

Nope I did not make any new friends, however, I did reconnect with a few. Just today I seen 2 of my friends and it was nice to see them, its been months, well, almost a year.

So no new friends made. 100% fail.

3 - New Job/Career

This is another resolution that is hard to accomplish, but with hard work and determination I am somewhat making this happen.

I am working doing things I never thought would be possible. I am being the follower, Robert is leading. So, I am learning how to do things I have never done, or even though about doing.

And....

The publishing books, not that I have yet but I am learning all the in`s and out`s, getting the whole prepared for the presentation.

Plus I am still doing the same old jobs but I am putting more heart into those, the landlady thing and Sunshine`s homestead creations online store. Oh and I will be opening the physical store hoepfully by Christmas.

So, I reckon I am, in a way making a new job/career for myself.

100% doing!

4 - Take A Vacation

Nope this did not happen in September, just was not to be.

I have spoken to several people about another vacation, you know... prices and how long and where, all the good stuff.

Depending on the work load will determine where and when I will go, but yes I have one planned and I have 3 months to take it, maybe 4, so it`ll happen again for me, sooner than later.

100% set up.

There ya go! September flew by with so many new adjustment made. I say "watch out October, here I come."

Life is moving fast, if you don`t reach in and take what you want, then it passes you by. I have grabbed me a fist full of life.... more to come.......

My Minimal Hoarding Life - 2020 Resolution - August Check In

I make four resolutions, or goals, to accomplish each year. Some years I make it with all of them, some years I don`t. Usually two are easy and two are hard.

I make a word, or phrase, of how I plan to be for the year and this year I have chosen "Thrive" because this is the first year of the next half of my life, a new beginning and a new me.

Here are my 2020 resolutions :

1 - Publish A Book

Not yet.... however, I am back writing just about daily. I took a brief break but I am finding my way back. Just today I wrote several pages in two of the books.

I might do a few booklets as well for another type of book, a how to book. My friend Brenda gave me that idea.

100% working on them.

2 - Make New Friends

I don`t think I made any friend in August, I think I might have made a couple enemies.

Big sigh. Can`t win them all.

100% fail

3 - New Job/Career

Tricky, that is what this is nowadays, since the virus changed our lives forever we have to learn to live with masks and sell what is needed.

I am still at the same couple of jobs but I am venturing out to the unknown and I am liking what I am seeing.

I will lt you know next month if this idea works out or not.

100% trying

4 - Take A Vacation

I had planned for a short weekend but that did not come about because of my work.

I had one planned for September but it got canceled and another one planned, one I really want to take.

I won`t jinx the new plans so I will share later.

100% doing this!

This one is a yes, I reckon. I am not really sure if I should call people friends, but I am out and about and I do talk to anyone.

3 - New Job/Career

Yes. No. Maybe. This virus is really messing up the world and how we do business.

I have been rethinking many things in the business part of life. I am thinking about what I did want and what I need to do. There is a difference in how I will make the new job work, however, I now have someone to help me follow this dream through.

Life can change again, like it did when the virus shut down the world,  I just have to be prepared for it, much more so than I was.

100% so doing this!

4 - Take A Vacation

I did it, after years of not going I went and we had th time of our lives. Me and Robert that is, my new husband. The beach was the place and it was wonderful.

I have another vacation planned for this fall, I hope all this virus stuff is down so I can go.

100% DID IT! 100% doing it again.

THRIVE!

There ya go, July has been the best month of my life! With so many exciting changes.

Life is moving fast, if you don`t reach in and take what you want, then it passes you by. I have grabbed me a fist full of life.... more to come.......
