My Minimal Hoarding Life - 2019 Resolution - May Check In

Wow! A month already gone but that is life, we have to make the best of the time we have because before you know it, time has slipped passed us. Don`t put off what we can do today till tomorrow.

I make four resolutions, or goals, to accomplish each year. Some years I make it with all of them, some years I do not. Usually two are easy and two are hard.

I make a word, or phrase, of how I plan to be for the year and this year I have chosen " Dream it, Do It." I chose this because I am making my dreams come true a little at a time, the time to get them finished is now, year 2019!

Here are my 2019 resolutions :

1 - Reduce Spending By Half

I will say that I am now thinking before going shopping. I am skipping the weekly shopping at the grocery store unless there is something half price, or near free with coupons, I can stock that this household eats up like crazy.

However, one splurge for me and it has taken me months to actually buy it. A new digital camera, mine broke where the batteries are inserted and I have had it since 2006. The plus about having this type of camera is I can make money with some of the photos.

Since summer is here I have stopped drinking as much coffee so I only make a half a pot in the morning. I used to make a whole pot and sip all day long but I am gone more now, or out in the heat. So no more wasting by pouring half a pit down the drain.

Another thing is I am washing more at night, washing causes the house to heat up meaning the a/c comes on more but this can be a sort of not good but good deal. If I am hanging out clothes I want them out in the daytime, unless I am willing to hang them out overnight, I have did that before. But with the clothing I am drying this is a plus! a true savings.

100% accomplished

2 - Reduce Stuff By Half

This is an ongoing project that I am sticking to, while I cant work on this everyday I can work on this as many days as possible each month.

This is just a few things:

While I know I am a couple days into the month of June, I just got the call about a bed frame I gave away, they will take it and pick it up, its a nice frame, solid oak but I don`t want it anymore and I refuse to take it to the dump because I paid $300 for it. I am excited it found a new home.

I tossed the last of the books, two tubs, as much as I hated to do it the old home place "had" silverfish. I have sprayed, when I seen them.

I took down old blinds and they went into the trash as well as a chair that you would use for ball games or fishing, it was broken by the cup holder and just taking up space.

I also made one more trip to the dump with things that are not good anymore and could not be donated.

100% accomplished this month.

3 - Set Up Sunshine`s Homestead Creations Store

I can feel it! Its coming!

I wanted this place to be this one way, I worked so hard to make this store be in one spot and I worked toward that. But one day I realized, or I seen, an easier way. And I possibly can have two set up, I know this is crazy, right?

I am working a couple days a month on this one.

I have made two new products for the online store and they are listed now. I am making more and more to stock this store.

Yes this is a 100% accomplishment for May.

Check out what I have to offer now at : Sunshine`s Homestead Creations

4 -  Cut Out Sweets - Kick diabetes ass!

I think I have Jinxed myself, if I believed, my diabetes has never been this bad.

100 % Failed! there is no excuse. I have used absolutely no self control.

So, that is how I am doing with my 2019 new year resolutions, how are you doing with yours?
